Positive Affirmations to Fight Aging

Aging with positive affirmations is a great way to feel good and enjoy life to the fullest

By repeating one of the following affirmations several times a day it may be possible to smash through your subconscious mind and hammer the message to your brain that you are feeling good with yourself and enjoying your life.

The affirmations should be positive and in the present tense (for example say: ‘I am confident’ and not ‘I will be confident’). Keep the sentence short and simple.

A good idea would be to write down your affirmation several (say, 30-40) times a day instead of mentally repeating it.

If you run out of ideas as to what sentence you might use, go back to your ‘I am concerned about growing older because …’ list in Positive Thinking section. You can use your answers as the basis for positive affirmations.

Some examples of positive affirmations are:

  • I love life and living.
  • I am confident that I am destined to live for many years.
  • I have important contributions to make to society.
  • I am always younger than somebody.
  • I live for today, because it is the youngest I’ll ever be.
  • I accept myself at any age.
  • I am going to stay healthy for as long as possible.
  • I can understand things better.
  • I am … years old and it’s nice.
  • Thank God I don’t have the problems of a younger person.
  • New developments in science are there to help me if necessary.
  • The past is over. I look forward to the future.
  • I have everything to live for.
  • I have no intention of dying now.

An example taken from the ‘I am concerned about growing older’ list would be:

I am not afraid of cancer.
